When Things Don't Go Your Way: Zen Wisdom for Difficult Times by Haemin Sunim

inspiring reflective

3.5

The author’s rich Buddhist perspective enriches this concise guide, which begins with insightful essays on various topics but transitions abruptly to a collection of aphorisms, some profound, others less so. While this shift is acceptable, I occasionally find the lack of depth in developing the concepts and suggestions within the essays somewhat disappointing. I hoped for more elaboration. Despite this, the book remains worth reading, though it may leave readers wishing for a more thorough exploration rather than a series of some kind of bullet-point advice.
