Having finished this book this morning, im trying to figure out the words to say about it. I want to preface this by saying that I reread Fourth Wing and Iron Flame before Onyx Storm, which I had a lot of anticipation for. I even took the day off. What a waste of PTO. This book was incredibly BORING! I had to truly push myself to even finish it. I thought the ending would pay off given what's been said, but in my opinion, it made me hate this book even more. I was a huge fan of the first two books, and this wasn't even in the same realm. There was soooo much filler, and so many confusing name drops of characters who were even remotely important in the first two books. The main characters were annoying as hell and honestly I could have cared less if they'd both bit it. There was no resolution. The answers we got to me were subpar. I had no care for any of it. I don't know if I'll even continue the series to be honest. The two stars are for the dragons and Ridoc. The only likeable pieces of this entire book to me.
