The Plight Before Christmas by Kate Stewart
Did not finish book.
DNF @ page 158 (43%)
i really expected to like this one, since it was by kate stewart and i have enjoyed the first two books of the revenhood series by her. unfortunately, this book was wayyyy to cringy for me. 43% in and all that’s happened in a bunch of family antics and a whole lot of reminiscing. when i first started the book, i felt like i was sort of picking up the second book in a series. there were so many characters thrust at us in the first few chapters with wayyy too many connections to keep track of and several chapters of whitney (fmc) just sitting with some random baby ?? also, eli (mmc) was literally throwing a pity party for himself the whole time. he was all “i messed up so bad”, “i let her go”, “i have to win her back” but not in a cute way, in a “woe is me” way and it was ridiculously annoying. disappointed to say the least
