The series really grew on me. Looking back, I think I just wasn’t sure what to do with Apollo at first. The series had the exact same pacing and overall structure of Percy Jackson, but the POV character was so incredibly different. Apollo’s Hero’s Journey is rather different than the more traditional one, but the series comes to a very satisfying conclusion (just like Riordan always does).
