A great introduction to David Mitchell’s style and universe. This book’s narrative splits and doubles back like the stories are layers in an onion you’re passing through. Each of the narratives are strong alone, and as their interconnections become clear they add brightness and depth to what you’ve previously read. Occasionally very sad and often funny, the variety of prime narrative viewpoint characters and genres explored keep the novel fascinating.
