The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin, Nicola Kraus

3.0

This is definitely a beach read, but nonetheless I still enjoyed it. The antics of Mrs. and Mr. X while appalling are quite entertaining to read, especially for those who are familiar with dealing with the "spoiled elite". In addition to the funny moments, the whole book also has a kind of overlooming sadness in the rejection of Grayer by his parents. Instead of them being involved, Nanny basically has to do everything and raise him... only to be yanked away from him at a moment when she was needed most. Sad and funny... and a fun read for sure.
