I’ve been meaning to revisit this one for a while now.
Wanting to read [b:Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West|37442|Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)|Gregory Maguire|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1437733293l/37442._SY75_.jpg|1479280] and [b:Dorothy Must Die|18053060|Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1)|Danielle Paige|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1381437107l/18053060._SY75_.jpg|25337746]; I felt a recap was in order.
Good thing I did, because somehow I remembered it differently. I think the movie and multiple re-watches of it changed the book in my mind. Like the shoes… It’s silver!
And the book is a lot darker than the movie.
Still; this was a wondrous adventure when I was little, and it still kept me entertained all these years later. I believe I’m ready to read all the Wizard of Oz retellings out there!
