Overview: Lucy Clarke is quickly becoming my favourite author. This is the 4th book I've read of hers and it's another 5 stars! This is actually her debut novel so is a few years old now, but wow...it was incredible. Whenever I had to put it down I found myself glancing at it resting on the arm of the sofa, itching to pick it up again. Reading the journey of Katie and Mia was like stepping into a different world and I felt as if i was travelling to all the beautiful places with them.
Good Points: The story is just wonderful and gripping. Yes, Mia is dead, but we go back in time to find out the events leading up to her death. I really felt for Katie and the guilt she must have been feeling and finding out the truth bit by bit. I did see the ending coming, but it didn't ruin the book at all. I was honestly gripped from the first page and the writing made me feel like I was actually there. I could almost smell the sea...
Not so Good Points: Nothing major at all. There was just one part I was a bit confused with and wondering what the hell Katie was thinking. It didn't really explain why she made that decision and I wish I knew.
Lucy's books are amazing and I now have another of her lined up to read soon! I think I have 3 more of hers to read. Any thriller lovers please check them out!
