The Fiancé Dilemma
by Elena Armas
The Fiancé Dilemma follows Josie, a small town mayor who’s just found out that her absentee father is a man under the spotlight. Josie’s had four engagements that never made it to the finish line and suddenly, the best PR trick she can think of is to fake a fifth. When Josie and Matthew get wrapped up in a fake engagement, the feelings become all too real.
This had so much potential. And there were so many moments where I felt that potential bloom. But everything else fell flat.
Josie as a character did nothing for me and Matthew seemed like he was there to tick off a book boyfriend checklist. They didn’t feel real to me and neither did the development of their relationship.
This was a fine book, I didn’t hate anything. But it lacked a magic I was looking for.
