I would say this book is lukewarm to me until 80% of the book, where the plot started revealing and things got interesting. Which is a shame because I think the pacing could be a lot better, and it would turn out really well for this book. And also there were two plot twists in one chapter after none for like 10 chapters, which made me feel like too much. But those plot twists were well-foreshadowed and hinted throughout the book, I just didn't think of that direction, so it kinda thrown me off a little, but it made total sense after I think about it.

I quite like the characters, and some secondary characters were written very well. Especially one of the Sisters, her character showed that how young women would be pitted against each other for the exploitation of people in power, even though they were also women. The setting of of this world is also interesting. This story centered around the war between two governments. Yet as the story progress, it is made very clear that both governments were just as bad. Different groups of people suffered under their governance and they had to fight hard to escape from their claws. A good reflection on reality, I would say.

I might pick up the sequel, I might not. On one hand, I liked how the plot went in the end, on the other hand most part of the book were quite dragged out. But overall it was an enjoyable read.
