This man, ladies and gentlemen. This. Man.

He's carrying this series and all the other characters under his shoulders (excluding my queen Persephone and Hypnos because

“You are such a whore,” Hypnos said under his breath as he grinned.")

Hades Aidoneus Chthonios, King of the Dead and the Underworld's #1 daddy is easily my favorite character and I loathe the fact that I myself cannot (and possibly will not) experience the depth and intensity and genuiety of his love for Persephone. Yes, as you read this book, you will very well realize that Hades is not the perfect man. But he is a great man, and that makes all the difference between perfection and straight out mediocrity.

He puts her feelings first. Always, ALWAYS turns to her for her opinion and insight before he cements his decision. He didn't sleep with anyone before her, faced temptation head-on without batting an eye all because he knew she was coming to him in the near future and had no business fooling around--

Like... What? This man... This man!!!

She had her status elevated above him (Him, the King, the most powerful man in the Underworld) by the fates and did you know what he said to lucky duck Persephone?

"But know that I would have accepted far less than ruling the Other Side if it meant spending eternity with you.”

OK??? Sir you've basically downgraded from King to side chick A and you still worship the ground she walks upon? (note: Persephone is just as crazy for him and would never accept this emasculation of her Husband rest assured.)
