I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman

1.0

I was full of relief when I finally finished this. I thought the concept was so interesting but the execution wasn't there for me at all. I felt like there were missed chances throughout the entire book to make it more profound, or generally more interesting. There was ample room for discussion of gender power imbalance in particular that I felt would have elevated the subject matter. In truth, nothing really happens both externally and internally to the characters, at least not in any memorable way.
