by Jodi Picoult
I liked The Tenth Circle and My Sister's Keeper so much, I decided to keep reading Jodi Piccoult. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Not nearly as heavy going as the other two I mentioned. This was a mystery, a ghost story, a love story, a study of human relationships, a commentary on eugenics, all rolled in to one book. Like her other books, she follows the perspective of many different characters. I found it not only very readable, but I could not wait to read each night so I could find out what would happen to all the characters. My only criticism is I got a little tired of Ross's suicidal tendencies and clinging to his past love, but it was essential to the story line, so showing him as a cheerful, emotionally healthy individual would not have exactly worked!
