What an emotional rollercoaster. Not that I was expecting less in the third and last book of the King of the Court series, but I wasn't prepared for it to feel so real. It was raw and vulnerable. Clay had to put in the work, and his growth didn't happen overnight. But once it did, it was magical.

I enjoy the slow pace after a booming start, with Clay moving overnight to LA and Nova following him. She tries so hard while he is overwhelmed with what he thinks he wants. But this time, Nova knows everything can't fall on her shoulders. Even as their relationship falls apart, she loves him wholeheartedly.

Denver becomes a beacon of hope, the place where family is. A found family that comes into grumpy and funny ballers, an older sister, and kids that look up to those they admire and hope to be one day. I've been a fan of Clay since Game Changer, but this book made me fall head over heels for him, especially when he reaches his full potential. Best part? Nova knew he had it in him. They couldn't be more perfect.
