Clockwork Angel
by Cassandra Clare
first review: 5 stars
Well... as usual. Cassandra Clare got me in a whirlwind of emotions at 3:15 am in the morning. After finishing this book, I couldn’t explain what I feel in one word. There’s the excitement for Will, Tessa and Jem. As well as feeling shooketh with the plot twist and a shit load of other adjectives im too lazy to indicate. When I finished reading City of Glass, I think I was too in love with TMI to be able to read a shadowhunter book without my most loved characters (ehem jace). It actually took me MONTHS to be able to pick this book up but when I started reading, DAMN was hooked. The plot was (again, as usual) very intriguing to say the least. It got me invested even from reading the prologue. I honestly couldn’t put it down. And the characters omg I love them so much. I definitely saw Jace in Will (ayeee) but really, if you think of Will he’s like the typical mysterious guys like Mr. Darcy or whatever but the way Clare has written him was so different than the cliche guys and Jem omg so precious he’s like this precious jem (ahe) that should be handled with care. The mystery of Theresa Gray intrigued me the most though like is she actually a warlock (i mean that’s disappointing if she is i mean c’mon). But I think I disagree with the love triangle though. CAN WE JUST SPLIT TESSA INTO TWO. Both boys have their own charm and its hard to choose between two precious guys like dat u know ;( Though this opinion is solely based on the first book and hopefully it would change in the second. I fell in love with almost every character (again again, as usual) yes even Mortmain look the guys is clever alright and those dark sisters terrified me. Well minus Nate bc ugh who likes that guy. Oh! oh! and Church (islay papi) cute back storyyy. Also one of the thing I looked forward to when picking up this book was the setting. Sometimes the settings were inconsistent but the plot worked for it so its oks (in my book there was a bonus story ‘Magnus’ Vow’ and da shi made me feel sad :(( i could feel Magnus’ pain of having to see everyone you loved and cared for leave you in this world alone with the pain and grief and the Tessa phrase that was too much wahh.)
