The Apocalypse Seven by Gene Doucette

5.0

Dystopian/post-apocalyptical novels are probably my favorite of all novels. And man, do they sometimes disappoint me. And man, did I not have a whole lot of hope for this one.

Sometimes it's aliens, and almost always, that's not good. But this book, so unassuming, and just well developed and engaging, actually managed to thread the needle where the fact that it was aliens actually made sense, and was satisfying as heck. Well done.
