This was so much fun!
A silly cozy horror book where the protagonist, Margaret, lives in a haunted house with bleeding walls and disfigured ghost (all looking freshly murdered)... and she treats it like it's perfectly normal.
Margaret's very flippant, almost annoyed attitude- oh I accidentally used my last good dishcloth to wipe the blood off the walls. Oh the ghost children are running around again...
When Margaret's daughter comes to help search for Margaret's missing husband she has to try and hide all these supernatural occurrences from her daughter... and it's hilarious!
But then the deeper message of the story starts to come through, and its a lot sadder then I expected...
Oh and the ending THE ENDING!!! YES!!!!
Note: while the majority of this book is cozy horror, there are definitely moments that are full bloody body horror!
