Wow. Is all I can say. Yeonmi is truly inspiring. I thought the book was well done. She got her point across without going into excruciating detail, which I can appreciate. I can’t imagine surviving through and enduring the trauma that her and her family went through and it’s beyond wild reading through this book knowing that she is several months younger than me. It’s truly eye opening to read and compare what I was doing as a 13 yo to what Yeomni was doing/surviving through. I definitely would recommend this book to someone.
