This book took brother’s best friend to a whole new level. Reading this book compared to the first one (which it has been over six months since I did) I was ready to kick my feet like a little kid and was NOT expecting the turn it took when it came to how Marcus passed. It broke my heart seeing the pain firsthand after it happened in Lucas, Piper and even Jax.

But seeing how the three still eventually came back together and were still a close group mended my heart so much. And seeing that everyone was rooting for Lucas and Piper to end up together was the cherry on top.

I will say it felt a little unexpected and somewhat unnecessary for the Grief Anonymous part of the storyline and how it got thrown in that Lucas was Anon13 and was talking to Piper yet she didn’t know. But it made sense. I just didn’t like that it didn’t come to light earlier on and it got brushed past rather quickly. It felt like it was a piece of information that was considered to be a big part then after writing was forgotten and needed to be resolved quickly before ending the book.

Other than that the entire book was so good and this trope still remains to be within my top three. I do plan on reading the next in the series!!
