This is a slice of romance book perfection. It’s a bite sized book readers can devour in a weekend. Melissa Blue’s story of Bailey Thorne a school teacher who falls for the dad of one of her students is charming, especially since Jake has a terrible reputation. He dates women, including other teachers at the school, for six months and then breaks things off. Bailey and Jake are attracted to each other, and Melissa Blue pulls the reader into their relationship as it develops in a realistic and thoughtful way. Jake and Bailey are “that couple” we all know who are great together, and the conflict that temporarily breaks them apart is relatable and true. My only quibble is with the folks responsible for producing the ebook; my version was riddled with errors - spelling, grammar and weird words (e.g., coral used instead of corral). Authors sweat over plots and words, and their books represent their brand. Melissa Blue deserves better.
