The King's Men
by Nora Sakavic
i can’t believe i devoured the entire trilogy in just five days but i couldn’t stop reading. i have so much to say and i don’t even know where to start. as i’ve said before, the found family trope is everything to me, and I got so attached to all the foxes, they mean everything to me. anyone who knows me knows i’m a certified sports hater, so i never expected to fall this hard for a sports series, yet here we are.
just when i thought the worst had passed, they had to put neil through hell again. i was genuinely terrified when he got kidnapped and hearing what his father wanted to do to him. he’s been through so much, and yet he’s still standing, stronger than ever. he’s finally found his place.
i’m glad andrew is finally letting him in. they both deserve happiness, they deserve each other. i’m obsessed with them. the slowburn, the angst. andrew, who spent his entire life surrounded by liars, still chose to trust neil, even knowing he was keeping a lot of secrets. and of course, aaron was wrong. andrew fought for neil because he was probably the first real thing he’d had in forever. the only person who ever truly made him feel. GOD. they had me screaming, crying and throwing up.
ngl, i had multiple breakdowns while reading because it was a LOT, especially andrew’s storyline. the character development? insane. especially with andrew and neil. the characters felt so real and raw, and i already know I’ll be thinking about them forever
the ending was everything i wanted, with the foxes beating the ravens and RIKO DYING.
