The Stranger by Albert Camus

reflective

4.5

Very interesting book. The way the narrator interacts with other people makes it obvious that he doesn't believe anything to be inherently morally right or wrong, and only considers how things make him feel. There is also the theme of materialism because the narrator discusses a lot of physical sensations instead of anything metaphysical. He also realises the absurdity in him being sad about his execution coupled with the inherent meaninglessness of his existence.
