Oh my! This book is a wonderful listen! It's my first listen by Susannah Nix and I am hooked! Meet Andie & Wyatt. Both have had a crush on each other, but with Andie's brother being Wyatt's best friend, no feelings were ever expressed. Now Andie is in trouble. Her house may be taken by none other than Wyatt's dad, and he isn't going to let it happen. Will they be able to resist each other now they are together so much? Nix mixes the best friend's sister, forbidden love trope with our friends to lovers romance with just the right amount of angst, romance and humor. And can I say Nix writes the best song lyrics? This is just the first book in the King Family series, and after getting a taste of this family, I can't wait to get to know them all better!
Chris Brinkley and Amanda Stribling are a fantastic pairing. The accents, the emotions, and the passion perfectly executed, sucking me in and making me fall for this couple. Brinkley is swoon worthy as Wyatt. He has an easiness in his narration that makes him sound like your best friend. Stribling comes in with Andie, emotionally charged, knowing what she wants and gives us it all to us with her expressions and inflections. A wonderful storytelling team, and I would love to hear these two together again!
