Finlay and Vero need a weekend away, especially after everything that happened at the police academy. At least that is the story they are telling everyone, when in actuality they are there to save a crush, protect Vero and make sure that all of their secrets stay that way. With many bumps in the road including unexpected travel companions will Finlay and Vero be able to accomplish what they have gone to Atlantic City for?

I’m so pumped that I was finally able to listen to the next installment in this series. I think this may be one of my favorite series right now. I love the way that each book is written and I just can’t get enough and then I’m always sad when I finish them too quickly.

Finlay continues to deliver as the FMC. She has even more spunk in this book and I am here for it! I love that she is finally able to stand up more to her ex husband and not give into everything that he is saying or demanding. Finlay and Nick are my favorite crime couple. They balance one another so well and I am so excited to see how their relationship will continue to develop moving forward.

Finlay and Vero’s relationship is perfection. They are always there for one another and are willing to do anything to protect each other. I love how they continue to grow closer with each book. I love great banter between romantic couples but the banter and ability to read each other that exists between Finlay and Vero is the tops!

This installment was set in NJ. As a Jersey girl it was fun reading a book that was set there. Having moved away in the past year it was enjoyable to read a book set in my home state.

Angela Dawe as the narrator continues to be incredible! It felt like a warm hug hearing her voice these characters that I adore. She does an absolutely incredible job doing not only the female characters but also the male characters.

This book was fast paced and the chapters varied in length. I will be honest there were times while I was listening where I thought this may be the last book in the series and I was kind of bummed. Without giving any details away the ending was absolutely incredible and I'm pretty sure that there will be another book in the series! If you love mystery and comedy this is 100% a book/series that you need to check out!
