Her Name in the Sky by Kelly Quindlen

Update- finished the book and, oh my god. I have never cried like this in a book. Maybe it was relating slightly to the characters or grappling with their sexuality and a higher power. It was heart breaking though. I've never felt so happy to be out of the closet. Truly a great read, but so sad. Will note- does end just fine.
Also, I hate Clay. Hate, hate him. What a dick.
And, I found it mildly funny that the characters were Hannah, Baker, and Clay. Coincidence? (13 Reasons)
Reading currently- This fu****g book is making me sob.
