This was such a great read! It was a little slow in the beginning but I’m glad that I kept reading! I think the thing I like about this book the most is how real it is. At the end we see that some of the fishermen were punished & some weren’t , even with the articles that were published because of the website. It’s all so realistic & there wasn’t a fairytale ending. I also like that w/ Sade & Persephone that their romance wasn’t a big focus of the book & that they didn’t kiss or even get together until the end. I of course feel bad for all of the victims in the book, especially for Jamila. It’s very sad that she took her own life because of what she experienced but it is something that happens daily & needs more awareness brought to it. I’m also glad that Jude died 🤷🏾‍♀️ & I don’t care if that’s “wrong” of me. That’s how I feel about anyone that’s takes advantage of others sexually. Also I’m not surprised by Headmaster Webber’s actions concerning the incidents, I never expected him to do much at all. I do wish that August would’ve been punished more than he was though, he was just as much a part of the problem as the other fishermen. I’m also glad that Elizabeth wasn’t dead but I’m a little confused as to where April was keeping her. Was she keeping her in the bunker or her room? I’m also happy that Baz finally got w/ Kwame & that he got to keep muffin. Also I’m glad that Sade wasn’t expelled because that would’ve been some real bullshit. I’m glad that she was able to roofie Jude too. I can honestly say that if I found out someone had did that to my sister I would’ve done the same thing & I might’ve been the one responsible for the killing 🤷🏾‍♀️. I do wonder how they found out that Sade was the one that made the website though.
