Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

It's been a very long time since I've had the "I don't want this book to end" feeling like this. Everything about Ninth House that made it such a great book only gets better in Hell Bent. I love these characters and how they've been drawn together into the family they are now. Everyone has so well-developed and so likable, I don't want to leave them.

This book works so well because Leigh has so much trust in her readers. She is able to skip around timelines and circle back whenever she wants and knows that we'll trust her to tie everything together. There is confusion in this book and intentional darkness at some points but it's crafted so that when the light switch is flipped jaws will hit the floor.

I'm excited to return to New Haven whenever book 3 comes out, I just don't know how I'll find another book to satisfy me until then.
