i came in expecting a memoir but it was rather disappointing to find out it was mostly transcripts of therapy sessions. i might have never picked it up if i knew this was how the book was written. i still have a great deal of respect for the author for being so vulnerable and i’m sure it would be helpful and inspiring for other readers, but it’s just not my thing.
