I never read written reviews but it has been an extremely long time since I’ve enjoyed reading a book this much and just had to for this one.
The Terror is filled with beautiful misery from nearly start to finish and I loved reading every second of it. I found it hard to put this book down! Just the sheer amount of horrible things these men go through just to survive in harsh arctic conditions while also being hunted by a creature on the ice is devastating and yet so thrilling to read. Additionally, this book is very well-written and provides such vivid, descriptive imagery that you can’t help but to physically recoil reading some of it.
I’m officially claiming this as one of, if not THE, best books I’ve ever read.
