I liked the story of this book but there were definitely times where it felt like it was trying too hard to be shocking. Like there were things that the main character added in her thoughts that were just needlessly vulgar. I didn’t mind some of it but there was a few times where it just felt like it trying too hard to be edgy. I really did like the story and the plot.
I highly suggest listening to the audiobook narrated by Jeanette Illidge. It helped me understand the inner thought part a lot more.
