The Killing Kind by John Connolly

4.0

John Connolly has quite a contradictory gift for writing - he writes beautiful prose but with chilling and very graphic crimes. Charlie Parker has decided he only wants to tackle white collar crime but he is approached by a rich former Senator with a request to investigate a young woman's death. Charlie once knew the woman in question so he agrees to take on the case. Fairly soon afterwards, he regrets it as anyone even remotely involved ends up dead. If you have a fear of spiders, this is not the book for you.
