Reading this book reminded me of going to a friends house growing up and eating dinner with their family but you don’t necessarily like the food you’re being served. Therefore you eat it, but it’s just to be nice. This was that exact situation but book form. As a Cuban-American I wanted to like this book so bad, but I couldn’t do it.
