as much as I enjoyed the book it did feel a bit too 'instalovey' for my taste. the book starts in the the last and second-last years of the main characters' lives, where they already feel and acknowledge the attraction they feel for each other. this would have been fine had the author spent more time developing their relationship to go from the 'simple attraction' part to the 'in love/more serious' part. however, i felt as though there was too much focus on hope with her friends during her chapters, i would have liked to see it more like becca's chapters -- which really focus on her and her relationship with hope, with the occasional friend added in.
