This is one of those books where you make yourself a cup of tea and when you take a sip after a few minutes find it’s been cold for an hour. Tight plot. Shocking twist. Lots of cleverly done moments. And just generally very precise. He describes two locations in detail. The Municipal building and the smelting works, because that’s all that’s needed. Everything else he leaves up to us. One of those books that’s the perfect example of its kind.
