Wow, I have many feelings. As I’m sure you know, there’s a lot of trigger warnings. Personally I just skipped over all the traumatizing shit cause I couldn’t really handle it. As someone who’s been SA’d many times it’s hard for me to read so I just made a mental note to avoid them and I was fine. Aside from the copious amounts of trauma, it was a good read. I really liked Ruby and Aura’s chemistry. The dialogue and writing was sometimes a bit cringy in my personal opinion but I also cringe pretty easy. And I always expect some cringe and trauma when going into erotica lol. There was definitely a lot of sexy scenes which I very much so enjoyed and their few cute moments were great as well. The plot was intriguing and held my attention but I was definitely mostly here for the palpable tension between these two. It’s also the first fully published book that I’ve read that has a knife kink written in so that was nice.
Spice: 10/10 (very kinky)
Cuteness: 8/10 (wasn’t there often but when it was it was nice)
Dialogue: 8.5/10 (sometimes didn’t like it but mostly really enjoyed)
Writing: 8.5/10 (pretty good for erotica and quite engaging)
I’ve read the smut scenes many times so it’s a thumbs up from me!
