Coward main characters

It was great until it wasn't.

The chapters about their teenage love story was so freaking wholesome and sweet and adorable. I liked it a lot. It was also so refreshing to read about main characters with parents who love them instead of the usual broken/complicated family stuff. That whole part of it was great. The NOW, portion of the book though... *shakes head*

They broke up twice, both because the guy is a coward who couldn't communicate and then just gave a lot of excuses when he realized he made a mistake (or mistakes). He didn't even give her a chance to explain and just cut her off. She should've made him suffer a lot before taking him back. I liked him at first because of how intense his feelings were for Paige but he was stupid for most of the book so, booo!

Paige wasn't without fault though. She should've come clean about the article assignment the moment they decided to be a couple again but she kept it to herself for... reasons. I can kinda understand that she didn't want to lose her job at the same time she was scared that Jack will walk away when he learns about the article but how is keeping it a secret any better?

I wanted to crash their heads together in all honesty because they both wouldn't listen to sound advice from their best friends.
