A World Full of Spooky Stories: 50 Tales to Make Your Spine Tingle by Angela McAllister

4.0

(I received an advance readers copy from Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Childrens in exchange for an honest review.)

This is a surprisingly fun read even for an adult. I am curious about magical fairy tales and this particular book contains many of them from all over the world, most of which I have never heard before. These enchanting stories are decorated with beautiful illustrations. The stories are told as they appear in the original versions, unembellished and they are not changed to end with a happy ending. They are what they are and I liked the simplistic way they are written. Even though the title of the book implies spookiness, not all of the stories are spooky or Halloween-material but they are diverse in content. I would definitely read them to children and I would enjoy the book just as much as them.
