Hot Wings by Eli Easton, Tara Lain

I liked the premise of this story. I do enjoy some stubborn and cocky alpha males meeting their match so the blurb appealed to me.

I liked Dell, he came across as confident and self-assured and I enjoyed the early interactions between both MCs, when a sort of ‘friendship’ was being established.

Donny, I didn’t quite warm up to, not just because he was in denial but more so because his previous homophobia and behaviour wasn’t really explored.

I tend to feel mixed about stories where the alpha type is all of a sudden absolved of all his hateful behaviour and speech because he’s fallen for a guy. I enjoy these types of stories more when there is a redemption type arc to their characters. This didn’t quite hit the spot for me and a lot of the interactions left me feeling nonplussed.

If you want to switch your brain off and just read then you might enjoy this. Sadly I often tend to struggle with that so this wasn’t quite for me.
