The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World
by Laura Imai Messina
ALL the feels. Loved it! Interesting learning a bit about Japan and Japanese culture, too. I didn't linger to figure out geography or to read up on the tsunami, which I remember, but only in broad strokes. Her themes were more universal than particular to that tragic event. Really well done, and a quick read. Also, beautiful cover and design, with the birds and other subtle illustrations within.
