Oh how I loved continuing on Anne's journey. I do miss a bit of her whimsy from the first book but I find it amazing the way L. M. Montgomery translated Anne's spirit as she grows up. The slow budding romance between Anne and Gilbert is so sweet. It was kind of a full circle moment to see Anne helping to raise Davey, he very much reminded me of younger Anne running around and getting into trouble unintentionally.
