i finished this at 1 am and sobbed lol 

i have to admit, this book grew on me. for the first half of the book, eadlyn was a royal pain in the ass—too independent, only caring about herself, thinking that everyone loves her. the way she acted with the boys at first was super mean :(

but over time, the boys became dear to her, and i found myself outright grinning at the scenes that were being played out. they were just so cute!! 

still, though, nothing can compare to the original selection trilogy which is why i’m docking a little from my final rating. overall a beautiful book 🩶
