I really enjoyed the prose in this one. Especially in the first half, this novel plays with language and word-meaning in ways that made me want to read the words out loud and savour them in my mouth. I've got a reread of this scheduled for next year via a book club and I can't wait. Science Fiction is often successfully gripping but not often this pleasurable, I think.
