To read this following Camera Shy, it is so so amazing. They are both standalones, but I appreciated the transition from Avery and Finn to Lennox and Dex.
Lennox is Finn's cousin, and bares the responsibility of her Dad for reasons no child should have too, and not wanting to disappoint or burden her Mum further. Lennox is not like the women in Las Vegas, she doesn't care about looking a certain way, having material items, she is genuine, sometimes has no filter for the things that come out of her mouth, and loves fiercely. It also means, though, she can be gullible and not believe or own worth.
Dex is the next door neighbour of Finn, the one who owns the dive shop, has tanks full of exotic fish, and hides the fact he is a billionaire. He is there to have time away from the business that will become is one day, and to enjoy time for the life he wants. He meets Lennox when he decides to have a dance party in his house. Lennox knocks on his bedroom door, and he is immediately enamoured by the purple haired girl standing in front of him. She doesn't know who he truly is. They are both attracted, but Dex wants to keep her at arms length, but they become something that they both need, each others friend.
I loved the way this book looked at snapshots of Dex's Grandmothers life, the letters she writes, keeping her own secrets close, but helping him and Lennox find themselves. The biggest is when they both enter a marriage of convenience to save the company and ensure Dex's rightful place has CEO after that 12 months. But what it actually does is so much more. Money sometimes is the root of all evil, and it is there, determined to discredit Lennox, but friendship and love, is stronger than the vitriol of others. Amazing, and the series is called "Lessons in Love" for a reason. I urge you to read Camera Shy, to read Snapshot, and be ready for the next book in 2025 Selfie, because, no one is ever too old to learn. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to ARC read this, I loved it.
