Lady Amelia Takes a Lover
by Sofie Darling
I got this regency era historical romance as part of stuff your kindle day, and I enjoyed it but it definitely had some room to grow.
Amelia and her siblings are in Italy distancing themselves from her sister’s scandal in England when she meets the grumpy ostracized Duke of Ripon, Tristan. He’s a sculptor who has 6 months until he has to return to his Duke duties in England, which is something he loathes to think of. The two are bantering quasi enemies until they work on their art together and realize it’s passion that’s making them short.
My biggest complaint here was the length was too short for the “I hate you” to “let’s sleep together consequences be damned” so it didn’t make enough sense. Otherwise it was lovely!
