The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner

4.0

This was a fun book. It is a bit of an unrealiable narrator, which I'm normally not a big fan of, but the author does it in a playful way. I mean, he's a thief, so you gotta know that he's tricking you as well. There's a bit of a plot twist near the end that I really enjoyed.

I have to say, I don't know why this is a YA title. It doesn't have the horribly stilted writing I associate with YA, and none of the characters are young adults. What's the deal? If you don't like YA, you may still like this. I normally hate YA and I had already started this by the time I learned it was classified that way. It doesn't make sense to me.
