So different from the movie! The only thing that was similar was that the author bought and restored a house in Tuscany. In the book she is with her boyfriend the whole time, not alone, and definitely not with her pregnant lesbian friend, like the movie. The book is mostly about the renovations, food that they ate and made (including recipes!), and living in Italy. Definitely not what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it.
