The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis

4.0

I read most of the Narnia books when I was a kid, but somehow never got to this one. Turns out it might be my favorite! I went back to it after falling in love with Susanna Clarke's new novel "Piranesi," which is open about what it owes to this book. I love all the invocations of Genesis, as well as all the multiverse traveling. It's also very, very funny without negating the cosmic importance.
