I had very high expectations for this series and I’m honestly a little disappointed.
What I liked:
I liked the idea of the book, the plot was kinda slow for me but I laid a strong foundation for the next book which I hope is be better.
I loved how words or sentences were crossed out to show the thought process of the main characters, I thought this was so cool because it was easy to understand and follow the main character’s actions and feelings. I know that I’m supposed to love Warner, however, it was hard too in this book so I hope that means he will have a nice redemption arc.
What I did not like:
Like I said before, the plot felt slow and somewhat uneventful for most of the book. There was no big thing that was memorable which makes me not want to continue the series.
Overall, it was an okay read... I don’t regret reading this book but I could have been fine not reading it.
