Wow, this is a powerful book not only because of the subject matter but the emotions.

We meet Hayden in the last book and you already feel for the guy he lost his sister in a tragic way. His best friend and him were just not good for each other they feed off each other’s misery.

So when we meet Hayden in this book he is healing from his suicide attempt. And that in and of itself is amazing, esp how far he has come in only a year.

We meet Vi Harris a short snip in the last book as well, but this book we really get to meet her and see what she is all about. I love that she is like the “mom” to her 4 burly brothers. She doesn’t take no poop from any of them! I flove this!

But she is insecure in her own life; she needs just as much love and reassurance as Hayden.

Watching or listening or reading however you want to put it these two come together and see how they heal each other is pretty great. One of my favorite book listens of the year.

And can we just take a moment and with these narrators.. OMG swoon accents!! Yes I said it your all thinking it. :-p

Also can I just say I want to move into Vi’s flat! It sounds amazing!!
