Bombshell by Jen Frederick

3.0

My top thoughts:

I had a lot of fun with Bombshell. I understood immediately why they all raved about Jen Frederick. The opening scene was so funny, with a food fight in a grocery store. I love the relationship between the heroine and her best friend as well. Even in such a short book, you pick up that they have that kind of friendship where they would do anything for each other. And OMG I love all the Harry Potter references in the book!

My one complaint... this book is unrealistic as hell. And some of it, I have no trouble dismissing. But I got really caught up - to the point of distraction from the story - with the age of the baby. In some moments, I felt like the story was suggesting the baby was about 6 months old at least, based one what what happening. At other points, it felt like the suggestion was that it was practically a new born. It bugged me, a lot.

Who I think would like it:

If you like second chance romances, sexy scenes, and a good amount of humor, this is a fun story for you.

Narrator thoughts:

I really enjoyed the narrator for this story, Erin Mallon. I thought she did a great job with the voices and I had no trouble following along with my 2x pace.
